Sushma Chaudhary and Puskardev Malla Win Gold at 6th Kun Khmer World Championship

Kathmandu, Nepal’s Sushma Chaudhary and Puskardev Malla clinched gold medals at the 6th Kun Khmer World Championship held in Cambodia, marking a proud achievement for the nation on the international stage. In addition to the two gold medals, Nepal also secured two bronze medals in the prestigious event.

Competing in the Women’s 48kg Semi-Professional category, Sushma Chaudhary defeated Cambodia’s Rithy Rita to claim the gold medal. The information was shared by Ganesh Lal Kakshapati, President of the Nepal National Muaythai Association and also the team coach.

In the U-15 Boys’ 45kg division, Puskardev Malla triumphed over Cambodia’s San Somnang to secure Nepal’s second gold medal of the championship.

Meanwhile, Sandip Tamang won a bronze medal in the Men’s 57kg category, while Mukesh Luitel Khatri also bagged bronze in the Men’s 60kg division.

Nepal’s impressive medal haul at the championship highlights the growing strength of its fighters in international Kun Khmer competitions.
