The arena has been prepared for the Asia Rugby U20 Sevens

Kathmandu, The Nepal Rugby Association announced on Friday that the venue for the Asia Rugby U20 Sevens has been prepared.

The Association held a press conference in Kathmandu to announce that the men's and women's tournaments had both been fully prepared.

The competition, which is being run by Nepal Rugby Association and organized by Asia Rugby, will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Tripureshwor's Dasharath Stadium.

This is Nepal's second time holding a rugby competition. Nepal hosted the U18 Sevens last year.

The Asian U20 Rugby Sevens men's side is made up of Nepal, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, and Uzbekistan.

Nepal, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Malaysia will participate on the women's side. Round robin league play will be used for the women's team.

India and Nepal will square off in the opening game of the men's division. In the women's division, Nepal will take against Hong Kong in the opening match.

The men's side will be split into two groups and play in a league-wide knockout format.

The competition features 25 referees and officials in addition to about 200 players. The association has announced that match officials and Asia Rugby President Qais Abdulla Al Dhalai have arrived in Kathmandu.

The Asia Rugby Trophy will be awarded to the victorious team. Around Rs 7.2 million is the anticipated cost of the event. The Asia Rugby Trophy will be raised by the competition's victor.

Nepal, coached by Sri Lankan Bijelath Sen, wants to compete at their highest level. Teams from Nepal's men's and women's teams trained in a secure camp in Pokhara for an entire month and a half.
