The Nepali cricket team is competing in the Asia Cup for ACC Emerging Teams

Kathmandu, In order to compete in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, a Nepali cricket squad is departing today for Sri Lanka.

During an event the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) organised here today to bid farewell to the squad, Minister for Youth and Sports Dig Bahadur Limbu and office bearers of the CAN conveyed their best wishes to the team.

The ACC Cup will be played from July 13 through July 23. Along with Pakistan A, India A and the United Arab Emirates, Nepal is assigned to Group "B."

Hosts Sri Lanka 'A', Bangladesh 'A', Afghanistan 'A', and Oman are in Group 'A' similarly. On July 14, Nepal will play Pakistan 'A' in its opening match, and on July 17, it will play India 'A'. On July 19, it will play the UAE in its third and final game in the group stage.

Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Shekh, Arjun Saud, Kushal Malla, Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami, Bhim Sarki, Dev Khanal, Pratish GC, Lalit Rajbamshi, Kishor Mahato, Shyam Dhakal, Surya Tamang, Pawan Sarraf, and Sandip Jora make up the Nepali team competing in the competition.
