USA Crush UAE by 243 Runs to Finish ICC World Cup League 2 Series Unbeaten

Kathmandu, November 3.
The United States continued their impressive form in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, completing a clean sweep in the UAE tri-series with a dominant 243-run victory over the hosts, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Monday.

Batting first, the USA produced a commanding total of 292 for 3 in 50 overs, thanks to sensational centuries from captain Monank Patel (137) and Milind Kumar (unbeaten 123). Their solid partnership ensured the visitors posted one of their highest totals of the competition.

In reply, UAE’s batting lineup completely collapsed, being bowled out for just 49 runs in 21.1 overs. Only Junaid Siddique managed to reach double digits with 10 runs, while none of the other batters offered resistance.

American bowlers were ruthless — Ruhil Ugarkar starred with the ball, taking five wickets, while Saurabh Netravalkar claimed three wickets to wrap up the innings in style.

With this victory, the USA has now played 24 matches, collecting 36 points to sit comfortably at the top of the League 2 standings. The UAE remain at the bottom with just 8 points from 19 matches, while Nepal are seventh with 12 points and will face UAE in their next fixture on Wednesday, November 5.

In the current table, Scotland sits second with 30 points, followed by the Netherlands (28), Oman (24), Canada (21), and Namibia (19).

Each of the eight participating teams will play 36 matches across nine tri-series events — three at home and six away. The top four teams from League 2 will qualify directly for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.
