Kathmandu, June 23:
Valley Public and KVKSS schools have secured spots in the girls' quarterfinals of the SDSC SEE 3x3 Basketball Tournament, which is being held at the South Western State College (SDSC) court in Basundhara.
In the group stage matches on Monday, Valley Public defeated Warriors 15–11 and Ballers 17–11, while KVKSS triumphed over Manaslu 9–7, Trijyoti 11–5, and JB School 13–8 to advance.
Other teams joining them in the girls’ quarterfinals include Warriors, NCCS ‘A’ and ‘B’, Astro Balls, Landmark, and Trijyoti.
In the boys' category, several teams made it to the pre-quarterfinals, including:

Manaslu ‘A’ and ‘B’
NP Lions ‘A’
JB School
Lakhe
Bright Future
GBCA ‘A’ and ‘B’
SKIBS ‘A’ and ‘B’
BMK
Himshila

The tournament was jointly inaugurated by SDSC Vice Principal Hari Singh KC, Program Coordinator Rajendra Lamichhane, Program Director Ganesh Mahara, and International Relations Coordinator Sarita Shakya Pradhan.
A total of 32 boys' teams and 18 girls' teams are participating in the tournament. The champion teams in both categories will receive NPR 15,000, while the runners-up will get NPR 10,000 in cash prizes, along with scholarships for higher secondary (+2) studies.
Additional scholarship incentives include:
50% scholarship for each player of the winning team and the Most Valuable Player (MVP)
40% scholarship for the runners-up
20% scholarship for all participating players
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday.
