Wado Ryu Karate Team Departs Sri Lanka
Kathmandu, The 7 -member Nepali Wado Ryu karate team left for Colombo, Sri Lanka on Tuesday to participate in the third international karate competition.
Pursotam Pokhrel in men's 60 kg, Shobhakar Panth in 70 kg, Kamaruddin Ali in 75 kg and Sanyam Kandel in 9 years age group will present the challenge of Nepal in the competition to be held on March 4. Shreya Rai will compete in women's 50 kg.
For the same tournament, the team leader, South Asian Wado Ryu Karate Federation president, and general secretary of Nepal Karate federation Harisharan KC, Team manager Janesh Panthi are leaving for Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
Wishing success to the team, National Sports Council Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising bid farewell during a program on Tuesday.
