Kathmandu, The West Indies Cricket Board has announced its squad for the upcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series against Pakistan. The series will be played on August 8, 10, and 12 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.
Alzarri Joseph Rested Again
Pace spearhead Alzarri Joseph has been rested for the ODI series, following his absence in the recently concluded T20 series against Pakistan. The team management is carefully managing his workload as part of a long-term strategy.
Romario Shepherd Makes His Return
All-rounder Romario Shepherd has been recalled to the ODI squad after being sidelined from recent series against England and Ireland. He last played an ODI in December 2024.
Young Left-Arm Pacer Earns Call-Up
Joseph’s replacement is 23-year-old left-arm fast bowler Jediah Blades, who has played 1 ODI and 4 T20Is so far. Known for his ability to swing the ball early, Blades has impressed selectors with his potential.

Currently ranked 10th in ICC ODI rankings, West Indies are eyeing direct qualification for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup.
