Lumbini Lions have announced the signing of Australian cricketer D’Arcy Short for the upcoming second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

The franchise expressed its delight at securing the experienced Australian all-rounder, stating that Short’s inclusion will significantly strengthen the team’s batting lineup.

The 35-year-old left-handed opening batter has represented Australia in both T20 Internationals and One Day Internationals between 2018 and 2020.

Short also brings vast franchise league experience, having played in prestigious tournaments such as the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Big Bash League (BBL).

The Lumbini Lions said they are confident that Short’s arrival will add depth and balance to their squad as they prepare for the highly anticipated second season of the NPL, scheduled to take place from November 16 to December 12.
