Nepal 'A' levels T20 series with a dominant 96-run victory over Assam
KATHMANDU – Nepal 'A' bounced back in style to level their five-match T20 practice series against the Assam Cricket Association, securing a convincing 96-run victory in the second game on Friday in Guwahati, India.
The win puts the series at 1-1, after Nepal lost the rain-affected first match by 15 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method.

- Nepal 'A' Innings: Winning the toss and opting to bat, Nepal posted a competitive total of 173 for 7 in their 20 overs. Sandeep Jora was the top scorer with 35 runs, while Pawan Sarraf and Dev Khanal each contributed 31. Basir Ahmed (27) and an unbeaten Vivek Kumar Yadav (26) provided valuable late-innings runs.
- Assam Innings: In response, Assam's batting line-up faltered, managing only 77 runs before being bowled out in 15.2 overs. Ruhinandan Pegu (17), Shivshankar Roy (16), and Akash Sengupta (10) were the main scorers.
- Nepal 'A' Bowling: Nepal's bowlers were in exceptional form, led by Yuvraj Khatri, who claimed four wickets. Basir Ahmed chipped in with three wickets, while Kamal Singh Airee, Akash Chand, and Vivek Kumar Yadav each picked up one.
The third match of the series is scheduled for Saturday.
