Raj to Compete in World Olympic Taekwondo Championships, Ashok to Officiate in Austrian Open
Kathmandu, June 24 – Nepali taekwondo athlete Raj Darai is set to participate in the World Olympic Taekwondo Championships, which will be held in Muju, South Korea from June 29 to July 2. Raj will compete in the men’s under-63 kg weight category and is scheduled to depart for South Korea on Wednesday.
In another international engagement, international taekwondo referee Ashok Khadka will serve as an official at the Austrian Open G2 Poomsae Championship. The event is set to take place on June 28 and 29 in Vienna, Austria. Khadka will leave for Austria on Friday.
Both individuals were officially honored and bid farewell during a special program held on Tuesday. The event was attended by Giribahadur Sunar, General Secretary of the IOFTC Nepal Chapter, and former national taekwondo head coach Naveen Kumar Shrestha, among others.
These participations mark important international representation for Nepal in both competitive and officiating roles in taekwondo.
